The FAA strongly recommends specific guidance and improved flight crew training for use of TCAS. Advisory Circular 120-55C, Aircraft Operational Approval and Use of TCAS II provides operators with best practices for guidance related to TCAS usage and information that you should include in your training program. The FAA also publishes a comprehensive guide to TCAS II equipment in their Introduction to TCAS II Version 7.1 Booklet.

If you are looking for a turnkey solution to delivering TCAS training in compliance with the SAFO and Advisory Circular, check out Advanced Aircrew Academy’s TCAS course. Written from a pilot’s perspective, it provides multiple RA scenario reviews and is specifically designed for flightcrews operating business aircraft.
