The right to that information was provided on labels or through Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Providing workers with access to such information was a valuable tool, but the information was not always easy to understand and readily applicable. Now, there is a new Globally Harmonized System (GHS) providing a standard through which workers also have the right to understand the information they are provided with in the workplace. This means knowing about potential hazards, understanding what the warnings mean, knowing what to do in the event of exposure, and how to protect one\u2019s self.
