First Aid

First Aid

Anyone who interacts with passengers or flight crew may be suddenly put into a position to help someone with a medical issue. This module provides all airport operation employees with information needed to respond to medical events and emergencies. Medical emergency situations can occur without warning, which require airport employees to assess the situation and act decisively. Education on general medical situations can better influence decisions under a stressful situation.

This module can be customized for your specific company operational procedures and stock supplies in your First Aid kit. If you have a 24-hour medical support on call service provider, we can include that information and procedure.

First Aid training is included in the Emergency Procedures module for pilots and flight/cabin attendants. The First Aid module can be used for non-flight crewmembers to satisfy an audit standard for First Aid training for ground personnel.

This module complies with the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) training requirement portion for "first aid training" defined in Chapter 8, sections 8.1.3.2, 8.1.4.1, and 8.1.4.2 of IS-BAO. The standard is for flight crewmembers to complete the training during initial and every two years thereafter.
