NBAA's Professional Development Program (PDP) helps business aviation professionals ascend in their careers by preparing them for management roles within their companies. Any person who occupies or aspires to a management position in a company involved with business aviation is a potential candidate.
The Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) program identifies qualified professionals to lead departments and organizations that use business aircraft. The CAM credential acknowledges professionals committed to continuous development and higher standards of practice.
The NBAA review committee has approved the following Advanced Aircrew Academy curriculums for the Professional Development Program:
- Human Performance [HR8: Recognize and employ Human Factors (HF) policies and procedures to support effective human performance in the workplace]
- International Procedures [OPS7: Recognize and operate within the National Airspace System (NAS) and international Flight Information Regions (FIR)]
- Safety Manager [OPS6: Develop and implement a Safety Management System (SMS)]
- CAM Application - 3 points
- CAM Recertification - 2 points
