UAS: Human Factors

UAS: Human Factors

Human Factors is a broad term to describe interactions among humans and other elements of a system. The operator/remote pilot-in-command control stations of some unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) have been plagued by poor human–machine interfaces. Human factors guidelines which are focused on the unique challenges of unmanned aviation are essential if UASs are to gain unrestricted access to civil airspace.

The UAS: Human Factors module presents a systematic approach that can assist in the development and organization of human factors guidelines for UAS pilot control stations and other human–machine interfaces.
