ACSF Recognizes Advanced Aircrew Academy's ASAP eLearning Module
Washington, DC, December 29, 2015 — The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce that Advanced Aircrew Academy has developed an eLearning module for companies to train their employees that participate in the ACSF Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).
ASAP is an FAA/industry partnership that provides a near consequence-free environment whereby the participants can identify safety issues and report information that can be critical in identifying potential precursors to accidents.

The modules include training for the new one-half degree latitude spacing in the North Atlantic (RLatSM), Loss of Control–Inflight (LOC-I), and training on Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP).

An Overview of eLearning Module Updates
Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) have been hard at work updating the modules with the latest changes to FAA Advisory Circulars, new FAA Safety Alert for Operators (SAFOs), FAA Information for Operators (InFOs), and new case studies to apply to the training material.
Our CPDLC eLearning module was recently expanded to include Departure Clearance (DCL) training in accordance with FAA notice 8900.297. The module was also updated for the revision to AC 120-70, now version C.
Our High Altitude Operations module was updated with Change 1 to FAA Advisory Circular 61-107B.

Advanced Aircrew Academy announces a new International Standard for Business Aircraft Operators (IS-BAO) tool designed to assist operators in assessing annual changes to the Standard. Each year, International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) publishes a revised Standard. IS-BAO registered operators must be aware of, interpret, document, and implement the changes applicable to their operation.
Interpreting what the new IS-BAO language means can require an advanced degree in IS-BAO, which is a resource not always readily available in busy flight departments. Incorporating the changes into flight department operations is another resource challenging task.

The first Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association (ORBAA) golf outing was held June 27 at the Shamrock Golf Course in Powell, Ohio. Over 40 golfers participated in the 18 hole scramble where all proceeds benefited the 2015 ORBAA scholarship. ORBAA raised over $2500 supporting a primary goal of Workforce Development. Advanced Aircrew Academy was proud to be a lead sponsor of the event. During the lunch reception, Dr. Dan Boedigheimer, with Advanced Aircrew Academy discussed new training requirements corporate aviation departments are facing and offered solutions for complying with these requirements.
