Flight Coordinator / Scheduler - Airports and Navigation

Flight Coordinator / Scheduler - Airports and Navigation
This eLearning module is designed to equip flight coordinator and scheduler personnel with a solid understanding of airport operations and navigation systems critical to flight planning and support. Learners will explore key concepts such as airport basics, ports of entry, NOTAMS, runway and taxiway identification, airspace classifications, navigation technology, and procedures for selecting suitable airports based on aircraft performance and operational requirements.

Through real-world examples and practical guidance, this module enhances situational awareness and decision-making skills related to route planning, alternate selection, and regulatory compliance. Ideal for both new and experienced aviation operations personnel, this training ensures that your team is prepared to support safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.

The Federal Aviation Administration requires all personnel involved in operations under Part 135 to receive appropriate training to ensure safety and compliance with aviation regulations. Many flight departments do not use licensed dispatchers, so there is a gap in training between scheduling a trip and comprehending the trip's requirements, crew, and aircraft. Our flight coordinator modules and/or curriculum fill that gap in training. This module can also be part of your Safety Management System to mitigate risk.
FAA regulations emphasize proper training and qualification for personnel involved in flight operations and IS-BAO/BASC encourages ongoing safety and operational training. It’s advisable for organizations to develop comprehensive training programs for their flight coordinators aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
