Flight Coordinator / Scheduler - Errors and Procedural Non-Compliance

Flight Coordinator / Scheduler - Errors and Procedural Non-Compliance
This eLearning module addresses common errors and procedural noncompliance issues that can arise in the roles of flight coordinators, dispatchers, and schedulers. Designed to reinforce best practices and support a strong safety culture, the course highlights how human factors, miscommunication, inadequate documentation, and deviations from standard operating procedures can impact flight operations.

Through examples, learners will gain practical insight into error prevention strategies, compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and the importance of accurate, timely communication. This module is ideal for improving operational consistency and reducing risk in flight coordination and scheduling environments.

The Federal Aviation Administration requires all personnel involved in operations under Part 135 to receive appropriate training to ensure safety and compliance with aviation regulations. Many flight departments do not use licensed dispatchers, so there is a gap in training between scheduling a trip and comprehending the trip's requirements, crew, and aircraft. Our flight coordinator modules and/or curriculum fill that gap in training. This module can also be part of your Safety Management System to mitigate risk.
FAA regulations emphasize proper training and qualification for personnel involved in flight operations, and IS-BAO/BASC encourages ongoing safety and operational training. Organizations should develop comprehensive training programs for their flight coordinators that are aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
