Flight Coordinator / Scheduler - International Procedures

Flight Coordinator / Scheduler - International Procedures
The International Procedures eLearning module for Flight Coordinators and Schedulers is designed to enhance understanding of global business aviation protocols and regulations. It covers essential topics such as information sources, required documents, customs, and procedures specific to international flights. We have a Part 135 and Part 91 version.

The module emphasizes the importance of compliance with international laws and best practices, equipping flight coordinators with the knowledge to coordinate flights across borders effectively. Sample flight plans and scenarios ensure learners can apply their knowledge in real-world situations, ultimately improving operational efficiency and safety in international aviation operations.

This module is not required under Part 135, but the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has recommended that Part 135 operators use only licensed dispatchers to enhance safety in aviation operations. Many flight departments do not use licensed dispatchers, so there is a gap in training between scheduling a trip and comprehending the trip's requirements, crew, and aircraft. Our flight coordinator modules and/or curriculum fill that gap in training. This module can also be part of your Safety Management System to mitigate risk.
While the FAA does not explicitly require Part 91 flight departments to have their flight coordinators / schedulers trained on international procedures, it is highly advisable that they receive such training if the flight department operates internationally. Understanding international procedures, regulations, and customs is crucial for ensuring safe and efficient operations, especially when dealing with different countries' aviation laws and protocols.
